When you’re not at the beach…
From a morning swim to a sauna after a coastal walk, these are the on-site extras that make staying at No.9 Putsborough that little bit easier — whatever the weather.
Indoor Heated Pool
A real bonus on a Woolacombe holiday — especially when the children still have energy to burn or the weather has other ideas. Guests at No.9 Putsborough have access to the heated indoor swimming pool throughout their stay, perfect for a morning swim, an afternoon splash or a post-beach dip.
The pool is 11m x 5m, 1.2m deep and heated to approximately 28–30°C.
Sauna
After a day on Woolacombe Beach or walking the South West Coast Path, the sauna is a rather lovely place to warm up and unwind. Available to guests at No.9 Putsborough as part of a pool booking, it’s another little luxury to enjoy without having to leave the building.
Gym
No need to abandon your workout while you’re away. Guests at No.9 Putsborough have access to the on-site gym, with a treadmill, rowing machine, exercise bike and free weights — handy for an early workout before heading out to Woolacombe Beach or the coast path.
The pool, sauna and gym are shared on-site facilities and are booked in advance, helping to keep sessions relaxed and uncrowded.
Games Room
For when the kids have energy left and you don’t. The on-site games room has pool and table football for a little friendly competition — and something else to do when the weather isn’t playing ball.
Beach Gear & Private Surf Shed
We’ve made beach days that little bit easier. Guests at No.9 Putsborough have their own private surf shed, with secure storage for surfboards and plenty of beach gear ready to borrow — including beach chairs, a windbreak, parasol, Dick Pearce bellyboards and buckets and spades. Less to squeeze into the car, and everything ready when you head down to Woolacombe Beach.
After the Beach
Woolacombe Beach is just a four-minute walk from No.9 Putsborough, so getting back with sandy feet and wetsuits couldn’t be easier. Rinse off under the outdoor warm shower before heading upstairs, with secure bike racks also available for guests bringing bikes to explore Woolacombe and the North Devon coast.

Parking and EV Charging
Leave the car behind once you arrive. No.9 Putsborough has its own allocated space in the secure underground car park, with lift access to the apartment level.
Bringing an electric car? Two on-site Pod Point EV chargers are also available for guests to book, including an overnight charging slot.

Surf Lessons & Hire – Learn to surf on Woolacombe Beach with our trusted local partner, Surfing Woolacombe. Group and private lessons are available for adults, children and complete beginners, with surfboards, bodyboards and wetsuits available to hire too.
Kayaking & SUP – See the North Devon coast from the water with OSKC Watersports, with kayaking and stand-up paddleboarding experiences for different ages and abilities.
Bike Hire – Swap four wheels for two with Waterside Bike Hire. Standard and electric bikes are available, along with trailers and child seats for families, ready for exploring the traffic-free Tarka Trail towards Fremington and Instow.
