It’s the perfect first evening as a family! Try The Bay Brasserie for your margherita or the more unusual Kale, squash & cheddar calzone then head downstairs to the onsite retro styled Neo Cinema. Sink into a comfy sofa and watch the latest blockbuster (Bridget Jones, The Lion King or Sonic the Hedgehog anyone?) Cocktails or G&Ts are obligatory for the adults…..
Blustery beach walk that ends in a pub with an open fire
Nothing quite beats embracing the elements and then enjoying the reward of a cosy meal in a warm pub by a roaring fire. There’s plenty of places to walk from your luxury retreat; you can head down the 3 miles of golden sands to Putsborough Beach and end your stroll at The Rock Inn or the The Kings Arms in the lovely village of Georgeham. Both pubs serve up fabulous food and do a superb Sunday roast!

Make the most of the fresh Devon air and the beautiful views by exploring the stunning Tarka Trail. Hire an e-bike from Waterside Bike Hire or from Fremington Quay for an effortless ride with attachments for children so the whole family can join in the fun!
For Culture Vultures…
We love the National Trust property of Arlington Court, seeing the snowdrops at Marwood Hill Gardens or popping into the cute Aquarium in Ilfracombe.
There’s also plenty of culture to be sniffed out nearby with exhibitions at The Burton at Bideford or Damien Hirst’s 66ft bronze statue ‘Verity’
A spot of retail therapy…
Nothing beats a bit of retail therapy and nearby Braunton or Ilfracombe have plenty of lovely little independent shops to pick up a gift or treat for yourself!
Our favourites are Wanderlust Life, Lovebird Jewellery , Forty Three Shop and The Old Schoolroom Craft Gallery. For some seriously cool surf wear for the kids try Tiki Surf and Shore 2 Surf.
