There is so much to see and do all within walking distance of No. 9 Putsborough that you can avoid the height of summer traffic, leave your car in the on-site car park for the week and really switch off. The beach and sea are on your doorstep and we are located in the heart of the village with its selection of independent shops, cafés, bars, restaurants, pubs and activities ensuring endless days of relaxation for all the family.
A Stylish Home from Home
Carefully kitted out, our apartment boasts its own individual style with thoughtful touches to help guests feel luxuriously relaxed. The open plan living/dining/kitchen area is bright and airy with space to spread out on the sumptuously cosy sofa while the bedrooms are decorated in muted coastal tones for a perfect night’s sleep. Relax with one of the books available, play a family board game or simply put your feet up on the balcony and enjoy the sea view.
Feast with Family
Upon arrival, guests are welcomed with a hamper of essentials such as tea, ground coffee, Nespresso pods, sugar, milk and a few local treats to enjoy after a long journey. You can also purchase lovely local produce from Lee Meadow Farm Shop including bacon, North Devon sausages and fresh bread to create a morning feast to enjoy with your family.
You certainly don’t want to be cooking away in the kitchen on the first night of your holiday however and our favourite options in walking distance are:
The Beach House Woolacombe, a luscious local bistro serving the freshest of fresh seafood (make sure you book ahead);
Take our picnic blanket and backpack to Barricane beach and enjoy a Sri Lankan curry from the cafe with a glass of something chilled while you watch the sun set;
Nothing tastes better than fish and chips by the sea, pick up the best from the Woolacombe Fryer.
Award winning beaches
We are spoilt for choice with beautiful beaches all within a stroll of No. 9 Putsborough. Within minutes you can reach the beautiful 3-mile long Woolacombe beach with its softest sand and beautiful sand dunes. It’s perfect for little ones to build sandcastles, dig holes and dip in and out of the sandy bottomed sea (no beach shoes required!).
For little explorers, skip to Barricane Beach or Combesgate Beach to search the rock pools for star fish, anemones and crabs. The National Trust beach rangers hold Rockpool Rambles. in summer (sometimes at night!) to search out these amazing creatures.
Dog Friendly beach holiday
You don’t need to leave your four-legged friend at home when holidaying at No. 9 Putsborough. Our apartment welcomes up to two well behaved dogs with doggie treats on arrival and dog friendly beaches just a waggy tail away.

Our guests can enjoy a range of unrivalled on-site facilities if the weather doesn’t play ball with the indoor heated swimming pool, sauna, gym and games room. Every family member is well catered for as well inside the apartment with a PS4 Pro, family board games, children’s books and puzzles and smart TVs with complimentary Netflix in the lounge and both bedrooms.
